The Armor of Parasite Eve II is different than the original Parasite Eve system in that defense no longer exists and instead Armor boosts Aya's HP and MP along with giving her new abilities in some cases. In most cases, the armor determines what kind of character Aya will be, whether more physically or magically based in terms of combat.

Regular Armor

These armors are the ones that are found throughout the game normally.

Leather Jacket

Leatherjacketsmall
  • HP: +10
  • Attachments: 3
  • Special Features: Resist Paralysis
  • Price: N/A
  • Location: Aya's default armor during Akropolis Tower scenario, replaced by Assault Suit afterwards

One of the two default armors. Unlike her second armor, the Assault Suit, this gives a HP bonus rather than MP, as well as 2 less attachment slots. It is very similar to Aya's outfit from the first Parasite Eve game (design-wise).

Assault Suit

Assaultsuitsmall
  • MP: +10
  • Attachments: 5
  • Special Features: Resist Poison
  • Price: N/A
  • Location: Aya's default armor during the Dryfield scenario

A replacement of the Leather Jacket, providing a +10 boost to MP rather than HP. This becomes Aya's "default" appearance for the rest of the game.

Turtle Vest

Turtlevestsmall
  • HP: +5
  • MP: +20
  • Attachments: 3
  • Special Features: MP Recovery, Resist Poison
  • Price: 1680 BP
  • Location: Sold by Jodie at M.I.S.T. HQ / Sold by Marines in their Field Command (Pierce's route only)

The first accessible armor that gives a good chunk of bonus to MP, intended for players who prefer the use of PE. It also sports MP Recovery, enabling more use of PEs overtime, as well as immunity to poison in exchange for a lower number of attachment slots. A decent substitute to the Assault Suit, trading off 2 attachment slots for a more prominent PE-Heavy play style.

Combat Armor

Combatarmorsmall
  • HP: +40
  • MP: +10
  • Attachments: 5
  • Special Features: Resist Silence, High-sensitivity motion detector
  • Price: 3250 BP
  • Location: Sold by Jodie at M.I.S.T. HQ / Sold in the Shelter Armory / Sold by Marines in their Field Command

This serves as one of the first main body armors but is terribly expensive when it is first accessible in the MIST HQ's shop. This armor is very versatile and will last a long while should one purchase it early on. Sporting a staggering HP and sizeable MP bonus, coupled with 5 attachment slots, the armor is jack of all trades. Immunity to silence ensures PE users to be combat ready at all times while motion detector negates the need for GPS, granting a valuable attachment slot for other necessities. Similar in nature to the Tactical vest but is designed to be a PE reliant survival gear than the armament-heavy offensive Tactical Vest.

Shoulder Holster

Shoulderholstersmall
  • MP: +20
  • Attachments: 4
  • Special Features: Quick Fire
  • Price: 2580 BP
  • Location: Sold by Douglas in Dryfield / Prize in Target Practice Level 5

The first accessible armor that features Quick Fire, improving fire rate of all weapons. A decent armor that provides a chunk of bonus to MP as well as decent number of attachment slot. It's rendered obsolete compared to the Tactical Vest later on.

PASGT Vest

Pasgtvestsmall
  • HP: +20
  • Attachments: 6
  • Special Features: Resist Poison, HP Recovery
  • Price: 2980 BP
  • Location: Sold by Douglas in Dryfield / Sold by Marines in their Field Command

A unique piece of armor that one can purchase post Nekropolis scenario, first of which features HP recovery. Essentially a predecessor to the Tactical Vest, designed to cut down the number of healing item usage on the long run. Coupled with poison immunity, great number of attachment slots and a sizeable HP bonus, the armor is quite versatile while having a good price to boot.

NBC Suit

Nbcsuitsmall
  • HP: +20
  • MP: +20
  • Attachments: 6
  • Special Features: Resist Poison, Resist Paralysis
  • Price: 3980 BP
  • Location: Sold in the Shelter Armory

This suit is the middle of the road model between the Combat Armor and the PsySuit that can be purchased in the Shelter. It has a balance between HP and MP bonuses and also has some nice resistances to some annoying status ailments.

PsySuit

Psysuitsmall
  • MP: +50
  • Attachments: 4
  • Special Features: Enemy HP display, Resist Confusion
  • Price: 4580 BP
  • Location: Sold in the Shelter Armory

A major improvement over the Turtle Vest granting a massive boost to MP (second only to the Monk Robe) and a decent number of attachment slots. It is a unique piece of armor as it features Enemy HP display and immunity to confusion, enabling a focused take down of a singular target in a mob.

Tactical Vest

Tacticalvestsmall
  • HP: +50
  • MP: +10
  • Attachments: 7
  • Special Features: Quick Fire, HP Recovery
  • Price: N/A
  • Location: Found on a dead SWAT member in Akropolis Tower (taken away) / Found in Pierce's SUV after completing the Full Moon puzzle and returning to Dryfield

An excellent armor sporting a massive bonus to HP as well as a large number of attachment slots. It enables a small amount of HP regen after every battle (equivalent of mp gained per battle, indispensable when amoebas are present), minimizing the number of healing items needed to get by. Many compares this armor to the Combat Armor due to their versatility, thought the Tactical Vest is much more inclined towards non-PE offensive playstyle compared to the Combat Armor.

This armor requires completion of the Full Moon puzzle in order to return to Dryfield.

EOD Suit

Eodsuitsmall
  • HP: +100
  • Attachments: 5
  • Special Features: Resist Impact, Resist Paralysis
  • Price: 4580 BP
  • Location: Sold by Douglas after returning to Dryfield

This armor features a titanic amount of HP bonus; essentially doubling your base HP value. Designed to be a pure tank armor with its HP bonus and Resist Impact feature. Coupled with Antibody PE lvl.3, Aya can withstand the most damaging of attacks with more than enough HP still to boot.

Aya Special

Ayaspecialsmall
  • HP: +30
  • MP: +50
  • Attachments: 7
  • Special Features: Quick Fire, MP Recovery
  • Price: 8000 BP
  • Location: Sold by Marines in their Field Command (ONLY sold when heading towards the good ending)

An extremely versatile armor, providing an ample level of bonus to both HP and MP (moreso towards MP). Sporting a great number of attachment slot and quick fire, coupled with MP recovery, this armor is designed to be an all out PE-reliant assault playstyle. An excellent armor that is only knocked down by its horrible price tag even at the point of accessibility. One of the two most versatile armor, next to Tactical Armor, but is inclined to PE-heavy offensive combat scenarios. Essentially a beefed up Combat Armor that focuses on offensive PE-heavy playstyle.

Tactical Armor

Tacticalarmorsmall
  • HP: +60
  • MP: +30
  • Attachments: 8
  • Special Features: High-Sensitivity Motion Detector, Enemy HP Display
  • Price: 12800 BP
  • Location: Sold by Marines in their Field Command

Essentially a mix of the 4 most versatile armor sets in the game. Having a massive HP boost akin to the Tactical Vest, great bonus to MP of Combat Armor and the highest number of starting attachment slot to boot. The second armor to have built in motion detector (the other being Combat Armor); negating the need for GPS. It's also the second (and only) armor to sport HP display (previously featured in PsySuit), enabling a focused take down of one enemy among mobs. One of the two most versatile piece of armor, on par with Aya Special, albeit more focused on non-PE reliant combat situations. Essentially a beefed up Tactical Armor.

Special Armor

These are two armors that you won't be able to buy normally and can only be acquired after certain circumstances are met.

Chicken Plate

Chickenplatesmall
  • HP: +60
  • Attachments: 5
  • Special Features: Resist Impact, HP Recovery
  • Price: N/A
  • Location: Given by Douglas if Flint is killed by the retreating Burner

This armor prevents you from getting the Good Ending because Flint has died. However it does feature good HP bonus, and allows you to regenerate HP after battle. Still the Tactical Vest is virtually identical, can be acquired only shortly thereafter and ultimately allows you to get the good ending.

Monk Robe

Monkrobesmall
  • MP: +100
  • Attachments: 10
  • Special Features: MP Generation, MP Recovery
  • Price: 3000 BP
  • Location: Can be purchased in Replay Mode after getting an L Ranking

This armor features a massive MP boost, maximum default attachment slots and allows you to regenerate it outside of combat. In order to get it, you must not kill many of the game's enemies, as the L Ranking requires you to get less than 14,510 Experience points. It is an amazing suit of armor that puts the PE mechanic to its utmost potential.
